Although Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh give excellent performances in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, the film has pace problems.

Mere Husband Ki biwi Cast: Bhumi Pednekar, Rakul Preet Singh, and Arjun Kapoor Director: Aziz Mudassar Score.

Mere Husband Ki Biwi uses classic, wacky humor

In movies, you have to suspend disbelief because there’s no other way to explain a hero fighting up 40 thugs by himself or a couple spontaneously breaking into a beautiful song in the Swiss Alps. As long as it’s amusing, it’s all fun. However, it is not enjoyable to use that reasoning, along with a little humor, to make a working lady a villain. Because Mere Husband Ki Biwi uses classic, wacky humor to mask the issues, it takes some time to realize what’s really going on.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz

The movie, which was directed by Mudassar Aziz, centers on Arjun Kapoor’s character, Ankur Chadha, who is a timid man who is afraid of his ex-wife Prabhleen Dhillon (Bhumi Pednekar), a fiery lady who is the total opposite of him. Ankur falls in love with Antara Khanna (Rakul Preet Singh) once more, but there’s a catch: Prabhleen thinks Ankur has just proposed to her because she has retrograde amnesia from an injury. The journey ahead is a tumultuous and disorderly one.

Arjun makes an effort

The film begins well, and the premise is intriguing. Arjun makes an effort, but it’s only an attempt. The male lead in this movie should have gone completely overboard, despite his shyness, but that doesn’t happen. If anything, Arjun’s inability to match the necessary pitch detracts from the humor. In a particularly dramatic scenario, he makes up for it by doing it flawlessly.

Bhumi is a riot

The women are expected to save the day, and they do it admirably. As Prabhleen, Bhumi is a riot, refusing to back down from a battle with Antara and even sending Ankur to jail to add drama to his proposal. The film is sustained by her scenes. Rakul is also reliable and performs her job well. It almost reaches the electrifying chemistry that may have resulted from their encounters, but it falls just short. Rakul’s confrontation with Tabu in De De Pyaar De (2019) is difficult to avoid. Harsh Gujral, meanwhile, offers strong comedic relief and practically takes Arjun’s place in the humor.

what is Mere Husband Ki Biwi’s fatal flaw?

Consequently, what is Mere Husband Ki Biwi’s fatal flaw? The length comes first. It may have been cut by fifteen minutes thanks to Ninad Khanolkar’s editing, but the second half drags. And second, the false storyline. According to the movie, Ankur suffers from PTSD as a result of his previous marriage and is plagued by nightmares of Prabhleen attempting to murder him. As it unfolds in a more humorous manner, you nearly feel sorry for him—until the true backstory is disclosed. An independent woman who wished to work, Prabhleen made a decision that would change her and her husband’s lives. Where has the “villain” gone? It’s her body, her decision!

Mudassar Aziz is merely mediocre

The directing of Mudassar Aziz is merely mediocre. Expectations were high after Khel Khel Mein’s refreshing enjoyment, but now there are fewer chuckles and no emotional resonance. With Gori Hain Kalaiyaan sticking out, the music is pleasant. On the whole, Mere Husband Ki Biwi could have been funny. It makes a sincere effort, and the creators deserve praise for that. However, it is insufficient.
