MAHAKUMBH MELA 2025

At the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj on Thursday, a number of devotees from Russia and Ukraine—two nations that have been involved in a terrible conflict for nearly three years—presented a message of spiritual unity. As devotees assembled to do kirtan and sing “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” on a chilly winter evening, the mood in Prayagraj became magnificent.

A Russian devotee told ANI that monks of all nationalities were present at the event and offered a message of peace and brotherhood. “My Guru Maa is from Ukraine, and I came here from Russia. Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Europe, and the United States are among the nations from which many of my Guru sisters and brothers hail. On this auspicious day, we all gathered here for the Maha Kumbh to bathe in the Ganga. The devotee remarked, “We follow their example because we know that all deities and divine energies come to bathe in the Ganga waters.”

This is one of the world’s greatest gatherings. It’s the largest event ever, and we all enter as Sadhu. Whether we are Indian, Russian, Ukrainian, or female, we are all present and adhere to Sanatana Dharma,” she continued.
