On Wednesday, in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, in the Sunderbani area, terrorists opened fire on an Army vehicle.
Around 1 pm, the event happened in the wooded region along Sunderbani Malla Road, close to Phall village. A 9 JAK truck patrolling the area was hit by one or two bullets. So far, there have been no recorded casualties. The region is thought to be a conventional militant infiltration route.
According to officials aware with the situation, an army vehicle was shot upon at 1300 hours (1 pm) at Water Tank, a woodland region, on Sunderbani-Malla route along the Line of Control. The police car, which was occupied by nine JAK rifles, was hit by about two shots, they claimed.
The entire region has been roped off, and more reinforcements have been hurried in, officials stated. The army is on high alert and a search operation has been launched.
There were no other specifics provided by the defense official, although he did acknowledge that there had been a firing incident in Sunderbani.
Punjab shoots kills a Pakistani interloper
