In addition to making the surroundings lush and green, the rainy season offers a much-needed respite from the intense summer heat. Nature is flourishing, crops are growing, and rivers are filling up. Though it revitalizes the ecosystem, the monsoon also presents problems that must be addressed to maintain safety and health.
Standing water gives mosquitoes
Waterborne illnesses including cholera, typhoid, and diarrhoea are among the most prevalent worries during the rainy season. Standing water gives mosquitoes a place to reproduce, raising the risk of illnesses like malaria and dengue. Drinking water should be pure and thoroughly filtered or boiled for your own protection.
Avoid eating anything that has been out in the open or street food because these items may be contaminated.Additionally, wetness and humidity can cause fungal infections, particularly on the feet and skin.
Wear waterproof shoes
Preventing these disorders involves keeping your skin dry and dressing in clean, dry clothing. Wear waterproof shoes when you’re in wet conditions and apply antifungal powder if necessary. Flooding and traffic jams can become serious problems during periods of intense precipitation. During storms, it’s crucial to stay inside, stay off flooded roadways, and keep an eye on weather reports.
Be prepared with emergency supplies, such as flashlights, batteries, and a first aid kit, in case of water logging or power outages. On the plus side, the rainy season is also a time to savor warming drinks, seasonal fruits like lychee and jamun, and the soothing sound of falling rain. Now is a fantastic time to spend time indoors with loved ones, read, and slow down.
Fruits, and vegetables will help you stay healthy
A well-balanced diet full of warm foods, fruits, and vegetables will help you stay healthy throughout the monsoon. Keep yourself clean at home, drink herbal teas, and avoid getting too wet in the rain.Though it calls for extra care and caution, the rainy season is lovely and advantageous. By being prepared and adopting the proper behaviors, you can take advantage of the monsoon’s charms without running the danger of health problems.
