According to Sacnilk, the movie made over ₹3.50 crore (nett), for a total of ₹6 crore (nett). On Saturday, the movie’s overall occupancy rate in Hindi was 15.41%.Despite having a slow start, the movie gave Kangana her greatest box office debut in five years following the epidemic.

On Friday, emergency opened to ₹2.35 crore. The film’s opening stands at the top of Kangana’s solo releases during the last five years. On its first day at the domestic box office, Kangana’s last movie, Sarvesh Mewara’s 2023 aerial action extravaganza Tejas, brought in ₹1.25 crore. Razneesh Ghai’s 2022 action movie Dhaakad brought in ₹1.20 crore on its first day of release.
Concerning Emergency Kangana is the director and producer of the biographical political thriller that explores the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Kangana plays the late former prime minister Indira Gandhi in the movie, which depicts the Emergency and Operation Bluestar during the last few years of her rule.
Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Ashok Chhabra, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair, and Satish Kaushik also play important parts in the movie. Fans will see the late Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Mahima Choudhary as Pupul Jayakar, Shreyas as young Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Anupam as the late politician Jayaprakash Narayan. Emergency was finally released in theatres on January 17 after a protracted wait.
