Chhava, starring Vicky Kaushal, claimed Saturday night show occupancy in Maharashtra at 95–97%.
Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, has had a phenomenal opening two days at the box office. Over ₹67 crore has been made in the domestic market in the first two days of the Vicky Kaushal film, and it is expected to reach the ₹100 crore milestone in the first weekend alone. Late-night and early-morning events are increasingly being added by exhibitors, primarily in Maharashtra, because to the huge demand for tickets.

Chhaava observes early dawn and midnight.

The biopic Chhaava tells the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s son, the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The struggle between Sambhaji and Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, is shown in the movie. The film’s success in Maharashtra can be attributed to its historical background and Sambhaji’s cult following there. Since Sunday, a number of theaters in Pune and Mumbai have begun showing the movie at midnight, extending the viewing window by a few hours. Smaller theaters have even begun showing between 6 and 1 am, exhibitors tell HT.
Showtimes in certain parts of Mumbai have been moved to as late as 12.45 am, 1 am, 1.15 am, and even 1.30 am, according to Bollywood Hungama. These, however, have not yet taken effect. Many theaters in Pune opened 6 a.m. shows once occupancy reached 95%, according to KoiMoi.

The performance of Chhaava in Maharashtra

On Saturday, Chhaava had 50% occupancy for all concerts, but 69% for night shows. A startling 93% of people in Mumbai and 97% of people in Pune were affected. Surprisingly, Chhaava has also performed well in the south, with Saturday night show attendance in places like Chennai and Hyderabad registering 81% and 88%, respectively. In Chhaava, Akshaye Khanna plays Emperor Aurangzeb, and Vicky Kaushal plays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Divya Dutta and Rashmika Mandanna are also featured. Mixed reviews have been given to the movie by critics, who have praised the performances but criticized the tempo.
